I am not able to directly select all my icons, as a few of them are truncated. How can I access the functions that are in these menus?

This problem exists because of your screen resolution.  Try to increase your screen resolution through the Display Properties menu.  If this doesn’t work try to update your video card drivers.   After you have updated your graphics driver and if this doesn’t work then you will need to either purchase a new video card and/or monitor to always view these icons.  Otherwise they will only be accessible through the pull down menu as shown in the picture.
