New WorkNC Dental Implantology module and new partner, Iddentic, at FDM Spain

Dental professionals were in attendance at last week’s FDM exhibition in Barcelona to see the latest developments in dental technology. Sescoi used the event to showcase its new WorkNC Dental CADCAM Implantology and Automation modules, generating high levels of interest from visitors to its booth, where they could see live machining on Roland and Witech machine tools.

The new software modules take the WorkNC Dental CADCAM system to the next level by making the 5-axis machining of prostheses an automated process. Scanned data is imported into the system and the orientation of the implants is automatically detected, while machining wizards select the ideal tooling and machining strategies to suit the materials being cut. The Automation module links to the machine controller and schedules production with the automatic loading of pallets and initiation of the machining operations, producing perfect prostheses without specialist CNC skills.

Iddentic, Sescoi’s new dental partner, will be supplying WorkNC Dental CADCAM software and a choice of Roland dental CNC machine tools to the Spanish market from its offices in Barcelona. Iddentic provides the dental CADCAM software, the machine tool and consulting to help dental professionals to quickly master machining technology and perform their own dental machining in house, producing well-fitting prostheses at lower cost.
